Dental bridges

Replace missing teeth and keep your bite healthy and comfortable.

A smiling mature man

A bridge may be used to replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and alleviate stress on your bite.

A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials, and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.

The success of any bridge depends on its foundation, the other teeth, gums, or bone to which it is attached. Therefore, it's very important to keep your existing teeth, gums, and jaw healthy and strong.

Common Questions

How long does a dental bridge last?
Most bridges last ten to fifteen years, and often longer with good hygiene. The bridge depends on the health of the teeth anchoring it, so keeping those teeth and gums strong is what extends its life.
Bridge or implant, which is better?
An implant replaces the root and does not involve the neighboring teeth, so it is often the longer-term answer. A bridge is faster, does not require surgery, and can be the better fit depending on your bone, budget, and timeline. We will lay out both honestly.
How do I clean under a bridge?
A floss threader or a water flosser makes it simple. We will show you the technique at your appointment, and your hygienist will check the area at every cleaning.
