CBCT 3D imaging

Detailed 3D images for accurate diagnosis and implant planning.

A patient using the CBCT 3D imaging machine

We have the capability to take 3D images of you in order to more accurately diagnose and assess your oral health.  This cutting edge technology is going beyond traditional two-dimensional X-rays.  Using Cone Beam Computed Tomography, or CBCT, a 3D image is created with great detail.  This allows us to formulate an excellent and accurate treatment increasing the quality of care we are able to provide.   We often use this technology when evaluating patients for implant placement.

Common Questions

What is a CBCT scan used for?
Cone beam CT creates a detailed 3D image of your teeth, jaw, and bone. We use it most often when planning dental implants, where knowing exact bone volume and nerve position matters.
How is CBCT different from a regular X-ray?
A standard X-ray is a flat, two-dimensional picture. CBCT lets us see structures in three dimensions, which makes diagnosis and surgical planning far more accurate.
