With the 3D scanner we are able to quickly make an extremely accurate digital model of your teeth. This allows us to skip the final impression. A digital file is sent to the lab so that the fabrication of your crown can begin immediately. We are able to seat your crown in a week in most cases. We are also able to use this technology to fabricate custom abutments and implant crowns as well as night guards and other dental restorations.

The Trios Digital Scanner is a top of the line intraoral scanner. TRIOS® has won the Cellerant "Best of Class" Technology Award for intraoral scanners four years in a row (2013-16).

Common Questions

Does the 3D scanner replace impression trays?
Yes, for most procedures. Instead of a tray of putty, we pass a small wand over your teeth and build an accurate digital model in minutes. Most patients find it far more comfortable.
How does a digital scan help my crown?
The digital file goes straight to the lab, so fabrication starts immediately and fit is more precise. In most cases we can seat your crown in about a week.
